YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, in plain language.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This member hub is operated by Independent Creators. Contact consultaffiliate@gmail.com about your information.

What we collect

We store your email, verification status and account creation date. Verified email is enough to browse. When you use sharing tools, we ask for your name and privacy acknowledgement. Phone, WhatsApp and your own HashNet referral link are optional account details. These details are not added to shared articles. Email updates are optional, and we record when that preference changes.

How we use it

We use account details to provide member access and respond to support requests. If you opt in, we may email you Hashnet news and community updates. Choosing not to receive updates does not affect access. Adding a phone number does not subscribe you to phone or WhatsApp marketing.

Digital contact cards

Selected pilot members can create a contact card. Cards start private. When the owner publishes, anyone with the link can view the name, portrait and contact details the owner chose to include, and save those details to their device. The owner can edit, unpublish or delete the card. Unpublishing cannot remove copies already saved by recipients.

Viewing a card or saving a contact does not send a message or subscribe you to updates. Email, WhatsApp and phone buttons open those services directly; their privacy terms apply. Card follow-up requests are no longer collected. Earlier requests remain private and can be removed by contacting support. They are also removed when the card or sending account is deleted.

Services that help run the hub

Supabase provides account verification, database storage and private library files in our Ireland project. Resend sends verification emails. Vercel hosts the website, and Cloudflare Turnstile helps prevent automated abuse. These providers may process connection details such as IP address, browser information, and operational logs. Support messages sent to our Gmail address are processed by Google.

Where Google sign-in is available, choosing it shares your verified email address and basic Google profile with Supabase to authenticate your account. It does not give us access to your inbox or contacts. Google profile details do not automatically complete your sharing profile or subscribe you to community updates. You can also sign in using an email code.

Account details are available to authorized hub administrators, not other members. We do not sell your contact details or make the member list public. Providers may process information outside the EEA, including in the United States. Their privacy and data-processing terms describe the safeguards that apply to international transfers.

Why we process your information

In the Events beta, the event details and images you publish are visible to the eligible beta group. Drafts and submissions awaiting review are visible to their owner and administrators. If you choose Going or Interested, we save one response against your account and that event. Other members see totals, not attendee names. You can change or remove your response on the event page. Responses are removed with the event or your account. Uploaded event images are stored privately.

We use the details needed to provide the membership you request. Our legitimate interests in protecting the hub and helping members support security checks and support handling. We also use limited, first-party usage measurements to improve access and the usefulness of the library. Optional community emails rely on your consent, which you can withdraw in My account. Reading this notice does not subscribe you to updates.

Cookies and video playback

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Your pending email verification details are saved in this browser tab for up to 10 minutes so you can return from your inbox without starting again. Verification codes are never saved there. Videos load only when you choose to open the player. External links open on their original sites, which have their own privacy policies.

When you choose an interface language, a first-party preference cookie remembers it for up to one year. Your video language can also be remembered in this browser. These preferences contain no account identifier and can be changed on the site or removed by clearing browser data.

Your choices

We count card and resource visits, reading progress, active time, video playback, and actions such as opening a contact link, copying a share link, using search or filters, and requesting or verifying an email code. We do not collect search words or the contents of messages. Page events contain no name, email, IP address, device fingerprint or account ID. A random page token exists only in memory and is not stored in cookies or browser storage. It does not identify a person across pages.

To count active and returning members without counting someone twice, we separately record the account ID and the UTC day of library use, plus whether a resource was meaningfully read or watched that day. This record does not include which resource was used. We record first profile completion and, when retained through signup, the public card or resource link that led to it. That source link identifies the shared content, not an individual visitor. Administrators see aggregate reports; card reports identify the owners of the cards.

Detailed measurements are retained for a 90-day reporting window and removed when new activity arrives or an administrator opens a report. If neither happens, removal occurs when reporting resumes. Account deletion also removes the account’s activity records. A membership baseline remains with the account so later profile edits are not counted as new registrations. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable browser activity measurement and entry-link attribution; operational account records still exist. External clicks do not tell us what happens on another website. Contact support if you wish to object to processing.

You can edit your name and optional phone number and withdraw your email update preference in My account. Contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before acting.

Retention

Account details are retained while you use the hub. The operator reviews inactive accounts annually and removes information no longer needed. When an account is deleted, its profile and preference history are removed from the active database; provider backups and security logs follow their own retention schedules.

Questions and complaints

Contact consultaffiliate@gmail.com to exercise your rights, request a portable copy, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it where applicable. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Norway, this is Datatilsynet. We do not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
